About us and what we do
The Toyota Land Cruiser Club Darwin (TLCC Darwin) is a branch of the Toyota Land Cruiser Club of Australia. It is the second oldest TLCC in Australia being established in early 1971. Despite our name we are not just a Toyota Land Cruiser Club. We welcome all makes and models of four wheel drives, and encourage members to join, no matter their experience level.
Over the years we have been to many exciting and interesting places with reports published in our magazine, which are often quite entertaining.
All members have the opportunity to lead trips and are provided with the full support of the club and its members every step of the way. This can be a very rewarding experience and we encourage all members to give it a go.
As a part of the 4WD Australia and the Four Wheel Drive Association of the NT we operate under the Tread Lightly approach and aim to:
- Organise club trips and events which pay due respect to the environment, ecology and land ownership
- Promote friendship through four wheel driving, camping, social and community activities
- Arrange members discounts on 4WD parts and accessories
- Offer unaccredited 4WD training with experienced members
Members, with the support of the Tripping Up Co-Ordinator, organise regular trips and events ranging from one day outings up to several week journeys. We hold annual trips including Valentine’s Weekend, ANZAC Day Dawn Service and night drives.
Our Social Committee keep us entertained throughout the year by holding a great variety of events, raffles and competitions. From a dinner gathering at the beach or classy night at a restaurant to our Bush Ball and family days, you are sure to find something that suits you.
So come along to a club trip, social event or monthly meeting and see what we’re about.
